Dataset description

This dataset is an Analysis Ready Data (ARD) cube derived from Sentinel-1 imagery, specifically designed to support the research objectives of the I-SEAMORE project. The time series covers a nine-month period, running from January to September 2025, and focuses on the project’s dedicated test area in Troia, Portugal. The primary purpose of this collection is to provide a standardized, pre-processed temporal stack of satellite data, simplifying its use for advanced analytical applications such as maritime surveillance. The source data originates from the Sentinel-1 mission, which utilizes a C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (C-SAR) instrument. The mission was launched in April 2014 and remains operational today. These images offer a resolution range of 5m to 40m, depending on the sensor mode and feature an average observation period of 12 - 5 days. The raw data is accessed as open data through the Copernicus Data Spaces Ecosystem, and the original format is specified as SENTINEL-SAFE/GeoTIFF, with access supported via HTTP, S3 and API. For comprehensive details on the source data, please consult the official metadata link: https://dataspace.copernicus.eu/explore-data/data-collections/sentinel-data/sentinel-1. The information contained within this final ARD data cube is tailored for efficient processing and distribution. The entire cube is provided at a consistent 12-meter spatial resolution and is projected in WGS 84 / Pseudo-Mercator (EPSG: 3857). Crucially, the final dataset is distributed in COG (Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF) format.

Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
