Dataset description

Data set pertaining to the article "Imaging Temperature and Thickness of Thin Planar Liquid Water Jets in Vacuum", published in Struct. Dyn. 10, 034901 (2023), https://doi.org/10.1063/4.0000188 . The following data are provided: (zip-)file/Folder Description Format Extension IR_images/calibration_data/vacuum Snapshots from a thermographic movie of our flat jet running in vacuum, at thirty different background temperature. (A snapshot shown in Fig. 3a, rhs.) temperature values per camera pixel (°C), 640 row * 480 columns, semicolon-separated ascii data .asc IR_images/calibration_data/1atm As above, for our flat jet running in atmosphere. (Three snapshots shown in Fig. 2a.) as above .asc IR_images/calibration_data/chipnozzle As above, for a flat jet produced from a chip nozzle, and running in atmosphere. as above .asc IR_images/raw_data As above, for various conditions of the flat jet environment as detailed in table exp_settings.csv. as above .asc IR_video Two thermographic movies recorded of our flat jet at varied conditions of the jet environment detailed in table chamber_pressure.pdf. Radiographic image stream, suitable for opening with free software Optris Pix Connect. .ravi FJ_cooling_2D.mph Input file for 2D finite element simulation of our flat jet. Input file suitable for Comsol software, proprietary format. .mph Y_Z_Temp_Comsol.txt Ascii representation of our simulated temperature profile (Fig. S7 (SI)). List of (y,z,T) tupels, with (y,z) in m and T in °C. .txt   In case you have any questions regarding this data set please contact: Uwe Hergenhahn, uhe@fhi.mpg.de .

Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
