Laccase enzyme (EC1.10.3.2) sequences curated by PSI-BLAST, InterProScan fold filtering, and Cupredoxin domain length constraints

This dataset contains laccase sequences identified through iterative PSI-BLAST searches seeded by Mol3, an engineered alkaliphilic laccase (https://doi.org/10.1186/s13068-022-02247-2) developed during the WoodZymes EU project (https://doi.org/10.3030/792070). The initial search retrieved over 56,000 homologues from UniProtKB/TrEMBL, and a second search seeded by an MSA from the first round further expanded the set. After filtering by InterProScan to retain only sequences with continuous Cupredoxin domains and canonical laccase lengths, ~18,000 sequences were selected for the final dataset.
