OLAMUR - Case study C - Fucus model prediction dataset: bioenergetic modeling of fucus vesiculosus production in Tagalaht Bay - WP3 University of Tartu

A test Fucus farm in Tagalaht Bay (6m,2). Environmental inputs (salinity, temperature, NO3, light,) were sourced from the Copernicus Marine Service, with high-resolution data from models like HIROMB-BOOS and BALMFC-ERGOM. Daily averages were used in bioenergetic modeling. Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) models, parameterized with empirical datasets and calibrated in Matlab, were developed for mussels. Mussel models were validated against 32 datasets (MRE < 0.2). Detailed procedures and validation results are provided in Kotta et al. 2023 (DOI: 10.1111/1365-2664.14422).
