Dataset description

This dataset contains the complete hazard modelling framework and supporting geospatial data used to assess river flooding hazard and associated impacts in Aydın Province, Türkiye, developed within the framework of the CLIMAAX Project. The analysis evaluates flood behaviour under: Historical baseline climate (1980–2020) Future climate scenario RCP 8.5 (2071–2100) Flood simulations were performed using the LISFLOOD-FP 2D hydrodynamic model, The workflow follows a structured hazard modelling approach: Extreme precipitation analysisLong-term interpolated rainfall datasets were used to derive return-period precipitation maps (2, 10, 25, 50, 100, 500 years). Hydrodynamic flood simulationThe LISFLOOD-FP model was applied to simulate flood depth and spatial inundation extent using: Copernicus DEM ESA WorldCover land cover Manning’s roughness coefficients Distributed rainfall NetCDF inputs Climate change projectionFuture flood behaviour was simulated under the RCP 8.5 climate scenario (2071–2100). Post-processing and mappingWater depth rasters were filtered, reprojected, clipped to basin boundaries, and visualized. Files included in this analysis :  Plots.zip : Contains visualization outputs basin.gpkg : Basin boundary vector dataset used for clipping and visualization. aydin_boundary.geojson : Administrative boundary of Aydın Province. DEM.zip : Copernicus Digital Elevation Model used as terrain input for LISFLOOD-FP simulations.
