Social Media Usage Patterns and Academic Performance Among International Business Students: A Cross-Sectional Study from a Thai University

This dataset comprises survey responses from 158 International Business students (73% female, 27% male) at a Thai higher education institute, examining the relationship between social media usage and academic performance. The data captures demographic information (age, gender, nationality, family socioeconomic status), academic metrics (GPA, year of study), and comprehensive social media behavior across 33 platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Key variables include daily usage duration, time-of-day preferences, device types, and platform-specific engagement patterns. With predominantly Myanmar (78%) and Chinese (6%) students representing GPA ranges from below 3.00 to above 3.50, the dataset enables analysis of digital media consumption's impact on academic achievement in international business education.
