Dataset description

This dataset contains river flood hazard maps for Aydın Province derived from the Joint Research Centre (JRC) European high-resolution flood hazard dataset. Present-Day Hazard (High Resolution – JRC) High-resolution flood inundation depth maps (30–75 m resolution) are provided for the following return periods: 10-year 50-year 100-year 200-year 500-year The maps represent modeled flood water depth under extreme river discharge conditions for the present-day climate. Outputs include: Individual GeoTIFF raster files per return period Unit: Inundation depth (meters) File Content results_aydin High-resolution river flood hazard maps (GeoTIFF format) for present-day climate: floodmap_PresentScenario_Aydin_10.tif floodmap_PresentScenario_Aydin_50.tif floodmap_PresentScenario_Aydin_100.tif floodmap_PresentScenario_Aydin_200.tif floodmap_PresentScenario_Aydin_500.tif data_aydin JRC_damage_curves.csv Original JRC depth–damage curves used as reference vulnerability functions for flood impact modeling. LUISA_damage_info_curves_Aydin.xlsx Excel file containing land-use specific economic parameters (€/m²) and building-type shares used for damage curve generation. aydin_boundary.geojson Administrative boundary of Aydın Province used for clipping and spatial processing. curves.csv Land-use specific vulnerability curves derived by combining JRC damage curves with LUISA land cover classes. land_use_Aydin.tif Clipped LUISA 2018 land use raster (100 m resolution) for Aydın Province. maxdam_luisa.csv Maximum economic damage values (€/m²) per LUISA land use class used in damage calculations. plots_aydin Flood hazard visualization maps (present-day climate, JRC dataset) Hazard_assessment_FLOOD_RIVER.ipynb Jupyter Notebook containing the full river flood hazard assessment workflow for Aydın Province.
