Dataset description

Dataset description: This dataset comprises FASTQ files obtained from whole-genome sequencing (WGS) of composite populations of common bean, with each composite population consisting of 2 to 5 different seed phenotypes (seeds differ in primary and/or secondary seed coat colour). The experiment was conducted over a period of two consecutive years, from 2022 to 2023, in the field in Jablje, Slovenia. In 2023, leaf samples were collected for the purpose of sequencing and dispatched to Eurofins Genomics for analysis. Whole genome sequencing (WGS) was performed on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform in paired-end mode, with 2 × 150 bp read lengths.   File names and descriptions: The following list details the phenotypes of the four composite populations that have been sequenced.  KIS_Amand composite population: 19D; 20D-A; 20D-B; 21D-A; 21D-B; 21D-C; 22D. SRGB_00189 composite population: 141-A; 141-B; 142-A; 142-B. SRGB_00366 composite population: 152-A; 152-B; 153; 154. INCBN_03048 composite population: 94; 95. The numerical values represent the original phenotypes that were sown in 2022. In certain composite populations, letters were appended due to the emergence of new phenotypes in 2023. We also sequenced two standard varieties:  Etna (common bean plant with determinate type of growth) - 302D; Golden Gate (common bean plant with indeterminate type of growth) - 303D.   Additional links: The following link provides access to a paper on this dataset: doi: 10.3389/fpls.2024.1523745

Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
