Dataset description

Reality mesh of Espoo is a visual city model produced from aerial images. It covers all of the cities of Espoo and Kauniainen. The mesh model is produced from over 22 000 aerial images obtained in 2017. The resolution of the images is 10 cm per pixel. The mesh model is published as OBJ and COLLADA files as 2km*2km tiles (zipped). The coordinate reference system of the dataset is ETRS-GK25 (EPSG:3879) and the vertical coordinate reference system N2000. The false origin is N:6680412, E:25481691. The data can be downloaded in the map service of Espoo as tiles. Note! The size of the files in quite large and it might take a while to download the data. The dataset is suitable for depicting Espoo visually in three dimensions. However, the data does not contain any attributes. Metadata of the standardized 3D CityGML model of Espoo can be found [here](https://hri.fi/data/dataset/espoon-3d-kaupunkimalli). The model is no longer updated.
