Bedrock 1:200 000

Bedrock 1:200 000 is a uniform dataset covering the whole of Finland, made by generalising Kallioperä’s non-scalable spatial dataset, version 1.0. The data consists of a rock type/unit polygon level and lined layers showing defects, shape lines and plots. The position also includes the baseline data index and the quality classification of the data presented at regional level. The rock species/unit polygon level contains the unit codes, epoch data and lithological codes according to the Finnish bedrock unit information system (Finstrati). The lines have their own hierarchical classifications. The data is on a scale of 1:200 000, which means that most of the non-scalable data has been generalised to match a product of 1:200 000. Areas with a baseline level higher than 1:200 000 have not been generalised. A coordinate system conversion was made for the data in March 2013.
