Helsinki metropolitan area Address Catalogue

The regional address catalogue contains information about the addresses and place names of properties and plan units located in the area (so-called zero address). The information in the regional address catalogue is produced by the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen. The addresses are based on address decisions and the place names on the plan nomenclature. The catalogue also contains address information of public services, sights and rail traffic stations in Helsinki. The addresses are maintained on a database basis and constantly updated based on address decisions and city planning. When using the data, it must be taken into account that the dataset includes addresses of properties and plan units but not the addresses of buildings. Based on the dataset, it is not possible to create postal addresses for buildings because the staircase letters needed for building addresses are missing from the data. The dataset also includes the postal code and city. The data is available for download in several formats, including JSON, KML, [CSV](http://kartta.hel.fi/ws/geoserver/avoindata/wfs?version=1.1.0&request=GetFeature&typeName=PKS_osoiteluettelo&outputformat=csv), Esri Shape, and XML.
