Industry noise zones in Helsinki

The material presents the noise zones of the industry included in the report calculated with the noise indicators Lden and Lyö in accordance with the Environmental Noise Directive. The daily noise level, i.e. the day-evening-night noise level Lden, is the average sound level weighted by the time of day. The higher annoyance of evening (from 19:00 to 22:00) and night (from 22:00 to 07:00) noise is taken into account by weighting evening and night noise by adding 5 dB to evening noise and 10 dB to night noise. Night noise levels Lden and night noise levels The night noise level is calculated at a height of 4 m above the ground. The results of these indicators and of the assessment methods under the Directive cannot be directly compared with national guide values or with the results of other noise studies where the indicators and calculation heights used are different.
