Parking places in Helsinki

The parking places in Helsinki have been digitised mainly for the area of the city centre and resident parking zones. The dataset includes, for example, data on the type of parking, any validity period, fee information, resident parking zone, parking position and estimated number of parking spaces at the parking place. In addition to parking spaces, the types of parking include taxi spaces, disabled spaces, motorcycle spaces, bike parking, tourist traffic parking spaces, CD parking, loading spaces, electric car charging spaces, parking for electric scooters and resident parking. The parking spaces have been digitised (drawn) by hand. Background data includes aerial images, street view images (BlomSTREET), Google Street View, traffic control plans of urban planning and parking-related traffic sign locations. Note: The estimate number of parking spaces is based on the area of the digitised area and does not necessarily correspond to the reality. Parking-related traffic signs, aerial photographs and traffic control plans of urban planning have been used as the source data. The aim is to update the dataset on the basis of the new traffic control plans and to expand the coverage of the data as far as possible, but the dataset contains errors and deficiencies and cannot be appealed to in any legal action by anyone. The traffic signs in the street or area must always be checked for parking information. **Coordinate systems:** — Maintained in ETRS-GK25 (EPSG:3879), can be projected to other coordinate systems.
