Finnish TV series in KAVI databases

The material contains metadata for domestic television series from KAVI databases (radio and television programme database [Ritva] (https://www.rtva.kavi.fi) and filmographic collection database Tenho). The XML file using the MPEG7 schema taken from the Ritva database contains the following information for domestic TV series premiered and renewed on TV as of 1 January 2009: serial-id, permanent identifier, series name, alternative name, description. An alternative name and description is not available for all series. KAVI’s radio and television archives have produced data on the descriptions using, for example, websites and written material as sources of information. More detailed source data can be accessed by [Ritva database.] (https://www.rtva.kavi.fi) The radio and television database Ritva contains the programme stream of domestic radio and television channels since the beginning of 2009 and metadata since April 2007. In addition, the database contains the Finnish Broadcasting Company’s digital activities of television programmes with metadata from 1957-2008. The data taken from the Tenho database contains the following information for domestic television series in KAVI’s internal database: name, id number in Tenho database, premiere time, premiere venue. The Tenho database is primarily a database for KAVI’s internal use and collection management, which contains metadata especially on films, but also to some extent on television material. The list of domestic television shows is not comprehensive.
