Dataset description

Suomen luontotyyppien uhanalaisuusarviointi 2018 Tämä aineisto sisältää Suomen luontotyyppien uhanalaisuusarvioinnissa 2018 (Kontula & Raunio 2018) kootut esiintymistiedot 10 km x 10 km ruudukossa kaikkiaan 223 luontotyypistä. Luontotyyppien punaisessa kirjassa esitellään Suomen luontotyyppien uhanalaisuusarvioinnin 2018 tuloksia. Arvioinnissa oli yhteensä mukana noin 400 luontotyyppiä, joista 48 % arvioitiin uhanalaisiksi. Tästä paikkatietoaineistosta puuttuvista luontotyypeistä on koostettu vain yleispiirteisiä painopistekarttoja, jotka löytyvät Luontotyyppien punaisen kirjan verkkopalvelusta luontotyypeittäin. Aineistossa on luontotyyppien esiintyminen 10 km x 10 km ruudukossa. Aineisto kuuluu SYKEn avoimiin aineistoihin (CC BY 4.0). Lisätietoja: http://geoportal.ymparisto.fi/meta/julkinen/dokumentit/Suomen_luontotyyppien_uhanalaisuusarviointi_2018.pdf Threat assessments of Finnish habitat types 2018 This data set includes distribution data for 233 habitat types in a 10 km x 10 km grid, originally collected for the threat assessments of Finnish habitat types (Kontula & Raunio 2018, available also in English: Kontula & Raunio 2019). In all, the threat assessment covered ca 400 habitat types, 48% of which were categorized threatened in Finland. The distributions of the habitat types missing from this data are less well known and can be illustrated only on a general level as distribution focus maps (available at LUTU-verkkopalvelun osoite, in Finnish). Occurrence data of habitat types in 10 km x 10 k grid cells is given in five classes: 0 = not occurring, 1 = occurring, 2 = occurring, northern fell area separated, 3 = certainly occurring, 4 = possibly occurring. The data set is divided into six different files according to the main divisions of habitat types: the Baltic Sea (LuTUItameri), rocky habitats (LuTUKalliotKivikot), forests (LuTUMetsat), inland waters and shores (LuTUSisavedetRannat), mires (LuTUSuot) and fell habitats (LuTUTunturit). Background The threat status of Finnish habitat types has been assessed for the second time in 2018. The IUCN Red List of Ecosystems Categories and Criteria was adopted as the assessment method of the second assessment and it replaced the former national method that was used in the first assessment. The primary assessment criteria used were change in habitat type quantity, change in abiotic and biotic quality, and rarity. The current trends for habitat types in terms of their state were also assessed. The threat assessments of habitat types were carried out in 2016–2018. The assessment involved more than 120 experts from various research institutions, universities and agencies. The work was coordinated by the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) and funded by the Ministry of the Environment. This Syke’s dataset can be used according to open data license (CC BY 4.0) http://geoportal.ymparisto.fi/meta/julkinen/dokumentit/Suomen_luontotyyppien_uhanalaisuusarviointi_2018.pdf Aineistossa eitetään luontotyyppien esiintyminen 10 km x 10 km ruudukossa. Aineistossa on käytetty EEA:n (European Environment Agency) reference grid -aineistoa paikkatiedon muodostamiseksi.

Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

api.store is built and operated by Apitalks s.r.o. Company details and a direct contact path are linked in the footer for vendor checks and procurement review.
Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
