The regions of Finland 2021 with the 2018 regional codes

This map material presents the regional division that will enter into force in 2021 with the regional codes of 2018. The material is based on the information provided by the Government in September 2018 and may still change. More information on the subject can be found on the website of the Government at https://alueuudistus.fi/maakunnat2021. The data is compatible with MML’s Local Government datasets. Georeferenced data can be downloaded in two versions of 1:100 000, 1:250 000, 1:1 000 000 and 1:4 500 000: land only presented and land and sea areas combined. The georeferenced material is in packaged form. In addition, the data can be obtained as a non-georeferenced PDF file. Data file formats: 1) MapInfo MIF/MID 2) ESRI Shapefile 3) PDF file in three different versions (data content in brackets): Coloured A3 (different counties in colours, borders of counties in red, municipal borders in black, names of municipalities, 2018 regional codes and cities with points) Coloured A4 (Same data content as coloured A3) Black-and-white A4 (Country borders with reinforced black line, boundaries of municipalities with thin black line, 2018 provincial codes, no municipal names and cities in points)
