Survey on participation in the City of Vantaa

The purpose of the City of Vantaa's participation survey is to survey Vantaa residents' experiences of participation and views on their opportunities to participate and influence. Participation has now been assessed three times at the city level. This dataset contains the responses to the 2020, 2021 and 2022 inclusion surveys. The topics of the survey were the experience of participation, motivation and opportunities to participate, familiarity with information and influence channels, effectiveness of participation, satisfaction with opportunities to participate and influence, pleasantness of methods of participation and influence, and trust in the City of Vantaa. The results of the survey will be used in the monitoring and development of the city's inclusion work. The results are used, for example, in the work on the strategy theme of inclusion, in the development of communication channels and in the planning of opportunities for participation. ##2020 survey The survey was sent to 2,000 Vantaa residents. Based on previous experience, the focus of the sample was on persons under 60 years of age, but otherwise the sample was random. The survey was conducted in three languages: Finnish, Swedish and English. The survey was open from 11 to 28 February 2020 and 555 Vantaa residents responded to it. The focus of the sample was on young people under 35 years of age, but otherwise the sample was random. The survey was conducted in three languages: Finnish, Swedish and English. The survey was open from 9 December 2020 to 10 January 2021 and 399 Vantaa residents responded to it. For data protection reasons, some background information on the respondents has been removed from the data. In addition, some open answers have been deleted due to inappropriate use of language. In the case of double responses (i.e. the respondent submitted a response both by post and online), the online response has been deleted.
