Testing of the municipal integration platform management model by use cases (King)

Espoo, Turku and Vantaa wanted to promote the creation of a municipal integration platform through a pilot project (PoC), in which a management model for the municipal integration platform was developed. The functionality of the management model was tested by implementing the integration of jointly agreed use cases of national interest on an integration platform implemented in a separate bond project. The project was financed with a grant from the Ministry of Finance and the work of the participating municipalities’ own personnel. The project was clearly divided into two parts: 1. Development of a management model (the management model was developed in four separate workshops with representation from all the municipalities involved and the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities.) 2. Implementation of the integrations of selected usage cases (in selecting the use cases, attention was paid to gaining experience in the implementation of the National Service Gateway and the utilisation of the various Suomi.fi services. The use cases consisted of Suomi.fi’s e-services/Authorisation questionnaire on the early removal form, as well as the retrieval of business information in Espoo’s register of operators. The user case integrations were implemented and tested in a parallel project with an open code Apache Service Mix integration platform.)
