Answers from Yle’s election machine and background information of the candidates

The election machine includes 1855 candidates’ answers. Open data can be accessed as a CSV table from the link below or via the interface. CSV table data can be viewed by any spreadsheet program. Using the interface requires an API key, which can be obtained by sending an e-mail to vaalikone.tuki@yle.fi. Election machine data is released under a Creative Commons license. This means that election machine response data may be used as part of new works as long as the source is acknowledged. The answer to the election machine has ended. After the publication of the election machine, some candidates have been given additional time to respond at discretion. One is the Chairman of the Centre Party, Juha Sipilä, who was able to answer the election machine on Monday due to the death of his son. Election machine data also includes the names of candidates who did not answer questions from the election machine but who took part in the Yle Election Gallery exam.
