Dataset description

Arcom publishes the data for the quantitative part of its Barometer *Audio-Video Trends*. The study is conducted among a representative sample of French people aged 15 years and over. It aims to measure the equipment, reception modes and consumption modes of audio and video content in France. The video component covers both linear television services and their digital platforms, subscription video-on-demand services, video-sharing platforms and social networks. The audio component includes live radio, podcasts and streaming services. The purpose of the study is in particular to understand to what extent the evolution of technologies and offers facilitates or, on the contrary, penalises access to content (and to what content...). A particular focus is made on smart TV equipment and its consequences on usage. The study, including a qualitative section, detailed data on equipment, and a quantitative section on uses, can be found here: <https://www.arcom.fr/se-documenter/etudes-et-donnees/etudes-bilans-et-rapports-de-larcom/tendances-audio-video-2025> More specifically, the data published on data.gouv relate to the quantitative uses section: <https://www.arcom.fr/sites/default/files/2025-04/Arcom-Tendances-audio-video-2025-usages-given-detailed-quantitative.pdf> In an open approach, Arcom makes the database available. **Method of data collection:** Arrangement entrusted to the CSA Institute. Collection of responses via a 25-minute self-administered online questionnaire. *First edition (2025):* * Sample of 4336 French (main sample of 4031 individuals representative of the French population aged 15 and over supplemented by an oversample of 305 Smart TV users) * Field of investigation carried out from 15 to 29 November 2024. A report analysing the results of the first edition is available on the Arcom website: <https://www.arcom.fr/se-documenter/etudes-et-donnees/etudes-bilans-et-rapports-de-larcom/tendances-audio-video-2025> **Recovery method:** Representativeness ensured by the quota method on the following variables: sex, age, PCS, UDA9 regions, size of agglomeration, frequency of internet connection. **Anonymization:** In addition to the rules in force and with a view to strengthening the anonymisation of personal data, the level of granularity of certain variables has been lowered and groupings have been carried out. **Access and Use:** The data can be accessed via the Arcom website and on the portal [data.gouv.fr](http://data.gouv.fr/). They are under an open licence and may be used independently, subject to compliance with Arcom’s credit. Please also keep the Arcom informed of the use of this data in the context of publications (books, articles, etc.). Arcom shall make available: the data file, the code book, a data usage guide. **Contact:** If you have any questions about the study or the data, please contact the Arcom Research Department: [recherche@arcom.fr](https://www.arcom.fr/nos-ressources/etudes-et-donnees/etudes-bilans-et-rapports-de-larcom/barometre-de-la-consommation-de-programmes-sportif)

Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
