Dataset description

**This dataset includes the contents of the Répertoire du Catalogue collective de France for its "Bibliothèques" part.** ### Library Directory Description Nearly 5 200 French libraries are registered in the CCFr Directory, including: - All municipal libraries in cities with more than 10 000 inhabitants, - All French university libraries (updated with data from the Sudoc Resource Centres Directory), - All libraries reporting collections in the CCFr. However, the Directory also includes libraries and documentation centres of all types and sizes upon request. Each record includes both practical and scientific information (address, timetables, access conditions, web address of the catalogue and/or library, services offered, description of the collections, …) for users and professionals. ### Find out more On the Directory of Libraries: [https://www.bnf.fr/en/le-repertoire-de-bibliothèques-du-ccfr](https://www.bnf.fr/en/le-repertoire-de-bibliothèques-du-ccfr) ### The RCR Number Each library is identified by its RCR number (9 characters), assigned by the Agence bibliographique de l'Enseignement supérieur (ABES) and composed as follows: - the first two numbers correspond to the department number, - the following three numbers correspond to the INSEE code of the municipality, - the following two numbers correspond to the type of library, - the last two form a sequential number. The RCR number is widely used within the CCFr, for locating the holdings or documents described in the Heritage Base, in the General Catalogue of Manuscripts (CGM) or in the Répertoire des manuscripts littéraires français du XXème siècle (Palme).

Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
