Regulated area of a Natural Hazards Prevention Plan (NRPP) in Côte d'Or

For natural PPRs, the Environmental Code defines two categories of zones (L562-1): areas exposed to risks and areas which are not directly exposed to risks but on which measures may be provided to avoid aggravating the risk.Depending on the level of hazard, each area shall be subject to an enforceable settlement. Regulations generally distinguish between three types of zones:1- "no-building zones", known as "red zones", where the hazard level is high and the general rule is that construction is prohibited;2- "no-building zones", known as "blue zones", where the hazard level is medium and projects are subject to requirements adapted to the type of issue;3- areas not directly exposed to risks but where constructions, works, developments or farms, whether agricultural, forestry, artisanal, commercial or industrial, could aggravate risks or cause new ones, subject to prohibitions or requirements (see Article L562-1 of the Environmental Code) .
