Archives of the Planet - Paris

Extraction of the images of Paris from the collection of the _Archives of the Planet, _ a set of still and animated images, made at the beginning of the 20th century, devoted to the diversity of peoples and cultures and preserved by the Albert-Kahn Departmental Museum. * * * This dataset is entirely dedicated to images of Paris from the collection of the _Archives of the Planet _. It allows the exploration of autochromes recorded in the capital by the operators of banker and philanthropist Albert Kahn. The map offers you to discover nearly 5,000 precisely geolocated images. The data have been updated in order to obtain a precise cartographic rendering: the geopoint chosen is that of the position of the operator when shooting. Some series of the Paris Fund could not be processed because the information available for these images was insufficient to specify their location. These are mainly photographs of posters, views of the Seine in flood, the Bois de Boulogne or Vincennes, the works of the fortifications.
