Les Zones Importantes pour la Conservation des Oiseaux (ZICO) constituent un inventaire scientifique qui recense les zones les plus favorables pour la conservation des oiseaux sauvages jugés d’importance communautaire. Cet inventaire a été lancé en 1990 par le Ministère de l'Environnement et publié en 1994. Il a été réalisé préalablement à la mise en place de Zone de Protection Spéciale (ZPS) au titre de la Directive européenne Oiseaux. Toutes les ZICO n'ont pas été systématiquement ou dans leur intégralité désignées en ZPS. Cet inventaire un peu ancien demeure un élément de connaissance du patrimoine naturel.
