Housing and social housing in the departments

As part of its mission to finance social housing in France, the CDC, through the Banque des Territoires, monitors and constitutes useful data for actors and observers seeking to analyze the evolution of territories, construction activity and the social housing sector. The dataset made available presents, for the metropolitan departments and the overseas departments, context indicators on the housing stock and information on the social housing stock. These data come from INSEE, the Sit@del2 database, the directory of the social rental park (RPLS) and the CDC. They are valued in the annual publication the Atlas of Housing and Territories (Banks of Territories), see reference below. The data correspond to years N-2 compared to the year of publication indicated, except for the unemployment rate (T4 N-1) and the poverty rate (N-3). This dataset is no longer updated as of 01/01/2025.
