Dataset description

Every year, **the Institut National du Cancer (INCa)** provides the aggregated data describing the cancer activity of healthcare institutions in France. These data are based on information from the **Programme for the medicalisation of information systems (PMSI)** disseminated by **the Technical Agency for Hospitalisation Information (ATIH)**. They cover the three sectors: * Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics (MCO) * Rehabilitation Medical Care (RMS), formerly Rehabilitation or Follow-up Care (SSR) * and, Home Hospitalization (HAD) In MCO and SMR (ex-SSR), cancer-related stays are identified by **the algorithms for selecting hospitalisations linked to cancer management for these two fields developed jointly with the National Cancer Institute (INCa)** and representatives of public and private hospital federations. The data make it possible to visualise hospital activity related to the care of cancer patients, according to different lines of analysis: * **Type of establishment** (public, private, ESPIC) * **Type of stay** (medicine, surgery, obstetrics, follow-up care, etc.) * **Type of cancer or tumor localization** * **Volume of activity** (number of stays, patients, acts, etc.) * ...
