Amounts of operating allocations to municipalities

This dataset provides access to a **history** of financial assistance from the State to the **municipalities** for their operation. More specifically, the overall operating allocation (**DGF**) is the main operating allocation of the State at the various levels of local and regional authorities. The proposed data group together the history of **national annual amounts** allocated to the municipal components of the DGF. #### Data origin: * Finance Acts (LF), General Code of Local Authorities (CGCT) * Technical notes from the Directorate-General for Local Authorities (**DGCL**) * Decisions of the Local Finance Committee (LFC) * Data calculated by **LexImpact** (National Assembly) #### Allocations and periods covered: The data show the amounts of annual financial envelopes of the following allocations over a minimum period of **2020 to 2025**: * **Global Operating Allocation** **(DGF, any grade)** as of 2019, * **Flat-rate allocation (FD of municipalities)** from 2019, * **Special allocation for the exercise of local mandates** **(DPEL)** as from 2012, - **Development allocation for overseas municipalities******(DACOM)**, - **National Equalization allocation******(DNP)**, - **Rural solidarity grant** **(DSR)** and its fractions, - **Urban Solidarity and Social Cohesion allocation******(DSU)** as of 2019, - **Funding for new municipalities******(DCN)** introduced in 2024. #### Data documentation: The history - or time series - of each amount is provided in the standard YAML format of the parameters of the open microsimulation model [OpenFisca](https://openfisca.org). The source of each value is referenced in the same file.
