European objectives in education and training

This dataset contains indicators relating to several European objectives in the field of education and training in view of the development of the European Education Area. One of these targets concerns the participation in the care and education of young children between the age of 3 and the start of compulsory elementary education (target set at at least 96% by 2030). A second target targets the share of young people aged 18-24 leaving education and training early (expected to be below 9% by 2030). A third target relates to the share of 15-year-old students with low reading, mathematical and scientific attainments (expected to be less than 15% by 2030). A fourth target relates to the share of pupils in grade 8 from the start of compulsory elementary education with low levels of digital literacy (expected to be less than 15% by 2030). A fifth target relates to the proportion of individuals aged 25-34 with a higher level of education (target set at least 45% by 2030).
