Dataset description

----- ## Files proposed One file per department A national file (search for "Export RNB National" in the file search bar) ----- ## About the National Buildings Framework The [Référentiel National des Bâtiments](https://rnb.beta.gouv.fr/) (GNI) is a digital public service whose purpose is to create a new national building reference data, which has not yet been available and which is nevertheless essential for the conduct of many public policies. To do this, it lists all buildings in the territory and associates them with a unique identifier, to facilitate the monitoring and cross-checking of building data for public administrations, local authorities and private actors. GNI is financed jointly by the Agence de la Transition Écologique ([ADEME](https://www.ademe.fr/)), the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment ([CSTB](https://www.cstb.fr/fr/)), the Direction générale de l'Aménagement, du Logement et de la Nature ([DGALN](https://www.ecologie.gouv.fr/direction-generale-lamenagement-du-logement-et-nature-dgaln)) and the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière ([IGN](https://www.ign.fr/)). The construction of GNI is also carried out in collaboration with the geomatics data experts of the National Geolocation Information Council ([CNIG](https://cnig.gouv.fr/gt-bati-a25939.html)). The [definition of the building](https://rnb.beta.gouv.fr/definition), within the meaning of GNI, has thus been validated by the CNIG Standards Commission. Confirmed "High Value Data" defined by the European Open Data Directive, GNI is also recognized as a priority project of the Digital Roadmap and Data for Ecological Planning The initial stock of buildings in GNI is essentially the result of a merger of the National Buildings Database ([BDNB](https://www.data.gouv.fr/en/datasets/base-de-donnees-nationale-des-batiments/)), edited by the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB) with the [BD Topo](https://www.data.gouv.fr/en/datasets/bd-topo-r/), edited by the National Institute for Geographical and Forest Information ([IGN](https://www.ign.fr/)). The GNI update is also carried out by imports, when new BDNB and BD Topo vintages are released, land law (ADS) authorisation flows from local authorities, as well as any other relevant administrative process flows. Indeed, the project to build a geocommun, all contributions are welcome to facilitate and reduce maintenance costs and optimize data quality. Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
