Dataset description

**The postcard collection of the Académie de Nîmes** The Academy of Nîmes has a large collection of around 44 700 old postcards (issued between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century): the Filleron-Lorin Fund. This collection was brought together by Philibert Lorin, clerk of the civil court of Châteaudun in Eure-et-Loir and member of the Dunoise Society. Representing mainly Catholic religious buildings, the collection was first formed from family correspondence, in particular thanks to Philibert’s two brothers, Anatole and Maurice, both priests. Robert Filleron, grandson of Philibert Lorin and mining engineer at the Grand Combe, donated the fund to the Nîmes Academy in 1956. Since 2008, within the Heritage Committee of the Académie de Nîmes, the ‘postcard workshop’ has been promoting this unique iconographic collection by cleaning, repackaging, classifying and indexing cards. You can consult here the 2200 maps of this set relating to the Occitania region. V. Ritter, "The Filleron-Lorin Fund. Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
