Dataset description

The IRIS (Grouped Islands for Statistical Information) are geographical breakdowns used by INSEE for the dissemination of statistical data in France. They correspond to neighbourhoods or portions of municipalities and are used to produce local statistics. Their administrative contours change over the years. As part of the [Challenge GD4H](https://challenge.gd4h.ecologie.gouv.fr/), a team of volunteers worked on the constitution of a table of passage of the IRIS codes from 1999 to 2022. This repository was not available. The code and data are available on [project forge](https://gitlab.com/data-challenge-gd4h/historiris). [The method of compiling the repository is documented here](https://gitlab.com/data-challenge-gd4h/historiris/-/blob/main/docs/regles-gestions.md). > Attention: this repository is young and may have errors. We invite you to use it carefully and share your [returns for improvement if necessary](https://gitlab.com/data-challenge-gd4h/historiris #contributions).

Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
