Dataset description

Dieser Dienst enthält Informationen zur Populationsdichte der Schweinswale in der deutschen Ausschließlichen Wirtschaftszone (AWZ) basierend auf einem 10x10 km Raster (EU-GRID). Die Dichte [Individuen/km²] wird für jede 10x10 km Rasterzelle ermittelt, indem die Individuenzahl innerhalb der jeweiligen Rasterzelle addiert und durch die Summe des Aufwands (erhobene Fläche und Zeitraum, in dem die Fläche beprobt wurde) dividiert wird. Einzelne Layer zeigen unterteilt nach Jahreszeit (März - Mai: Frühjahr; Juni – August: Sommer; September - November: Herbst; Dezember – Februar: Winter) die Verbreitung der Schweinswale im jeweiligen Jahr. Die direkte Vergleichbarkeit mit den Daten im BfN-Dienst „Schweinswalmonitoring Verbreitung Einzeljahre“ ist eingeschränkt, da im vorliegenden BSH-Dienst nur Daten genutzt wurden, die durch die Beobachtungstechnik Digitalflug erhoben wurden.
