Dataset description

Definitions: Hydrodynamics describes the movement of fluids and the forces acting on them. Hydrodynamic parameters are time-integrated, descriptive parameters of these processes. For example, the basic tide parameters of the tide flood, the tide low water as well as the closely related values for tide rise, tide fall and tide stroke help to work out the dynamics of the tide. Data generation: From numerical simulation data, physical variables such as water level or flow velocity were calculated at fixed temporal intervals, taking into account achievable accuracies. These simulation data were combined with data analysis methods for hydrodynamic parameters such as the Tidehub. Harmonious analyses of the water level were carried out and tide characteristic values of the water level or long-term statistical characteristic values of water level, flow velocity, salinity, water temperature and suspended matter content were calculated. Products: Hydrodynamic parameters from the TrilaWatt project are based on the analysis of the numerical simulation of tide, sea level, salinity, temperature and suspended matter concentration in the area of the trilateral Wadden Sea (Netherlands -nl, Germany -de, Denmark -dk) and the German Bight as annual average for 2016. The data is provided as a regular 20 m grid in GeoTIFF format. Characteristics are only provided for calculation cells that have always been flooded during the analysis period. In the data equivalents (*_no_filter) this masking was not applied. Non-filtered data equivalents (no _ filters) have also been created, if physically useful. In the case of non-filtered data products, it should be noted that the number of values underlying the averages is lower, especially in the shallow water area, due to intertidal dry trapping and thus the average formation is impaired. The number of valid data points or tides per year (number of valid data points or number of tide floods) is supplied as a grid file for the classification of non-filtered products. Product list: - Tide stroke and tide high and tide low water: 5-, 50- and 95% quantile
- Time shift to reference position ‘Lighthouse Alte Weser’ of tide high and tide low water: Annual averages
- tidal medium water: 50% Quantil
- M2 partial tides: Amplitude and phase
- Tide floods and valid data points: Number per year
- Water level: 1-, 50- and 99% quantile, mean, minimum, maximum
- Flow velocity: Depth-averaged mean, 99- and 99.9% quantile of the amount
- Flow velocity: Depth averaged amount and x- and y-component of residual
- Flow velocity: Depth averaged average, cubated amount
- Floor shear voltage: 99% quantile, mean
- Salinity, temperature and concentration of suspended solids: Depth-averaged 1- and 99% quantile and mean (float concentration as a sum of three fractions with a sinking velocity ws = 0.25, 1.5 and 7 mm/s)
- Significant wave height of the sea: 50-, 95- and 99% quantile, (yearly) mean and maximum value
- Average wave period: Annual average at maximum significant wave height
- Sea direction: x and y components of the residual English: This web service contains annual averages and quantiles of tidal characteristics, annual averages and quantiles of hydrographic parameters (e.g., depth-averaged salinity, suspended sediments, or sea water temperature), and tidal constituents from harmonic analyses that were estimated from numerical simulations of the year 2016. Data are distributed on regular 20 m grids as GeoTIFFs. Download: A download is located under references (in German: "References and Downloads").

Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

api.store is built and operated by Apitalks s.r.o. Company details and a direct contact path are linked in the footer for vendor checks and procurement review.
Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
