Dataset description

This is the Web Map Server of DWD.:National radar composite, 24h floating summation calibrated (RADOLAN) radar data, every 60 minutes (KU42) This layer contains the data of the RADOLAN product SF. The SF product is the sliding 24h summation of the hourly "best calibrated" radar precipitation data. It is the final result of the calibration of the radar with the ombromometer measurements after carrying out the weighted averaging of differences and factor methods for Germany in 1km resolution. The product is used, among other things, in the flood forecasting centres (HVZn) and is used for the evaluation of high-resolution precipitation analyses in time and space. The data are produced approximately 30 minutes after the respective date (e.g. date 0050 UTC is available around 0130 UTC). The data is updated every hour. They are available for the last 72 hours.
