Die Landeshauptstadt Kiel verfügt über 87 sogenannte Dauerzählstellen (DZS), die als fest installierte Zählpunkte die Menge, Art und Fahrtrichtung des Motorisierten-Individual-Verkehrs (MIV) auf dem jeweiligen Zählabschnitt erfassen. Die MIV-Verkehrsdaten dieser Dauerzählstellen werden in einem minütlichen Kurzzeitintervall und einem stündlichen Langzeitintervall bereitgestellt und an die Datenplattform der KielRegion übertragen. Die Daten des stündlichen Langzeitintervalls mit Möglichkeit zur Abfrage eines definierten (historischen) Zeitraumes werden hier zum Abruf bereitgestellt.
