<p>Das Portal "Sammlungsgut aus kolonialen Kontexten" stellt bereits digitalisiertes und erschlossenes Sammlungsgut aus kolonialen Kontexten innerhalb des bestehenden Portals der Deutschen Digitalen Bibliothek (DDB) online bereit. Die Daten wurden in die DDB integriert und über eine eigene Benutzeroberfläche durchsuchbar gemacht. Das Portal wird sowohl in deutscher als auch in englischer Sprache angeboten. Die Beschreibungen des Sammlungsgutes sind derzeit in der Regel nur auf Deutsch verfügbar, die Erweiterung mit mehreren Sprachen ist geplant.</p> <p>Ziel des Portals ist es, umfassend und zentral digitale Informationen zu kolonialen Kontexten in deutschen Kultur- und Wissenseinrichtungen zu veröffentlichen. Das Portal für Sammlungsgut aus kolonialen Kontexten soll bis Mitte 2024 weiter ausgebaut werden und entsprechend weiter wachsen. Das Portal dient dazu, Sammlungen aus kolonialen Kontexten in seiner gesamten Bandbreite zugänglich zu machen. Die Definition kolonialer Kontexte aus kolonialen Kontexten des Deutschen Museumsbundes erfordert eine Vielzahl von historischen und lokalen Aneignungs- und Aushandlungsprozessen sowie die daraus resultierenden Kontexte und Handlungsmöglichkeiten.
