The basic geodetic networks of the LVGL in position, height and gravity are the basis for any surveying activity in the Saarland. While the location coordinates are stored on a mathematical reference surface, the ellipsoid, the altitude and gravity data refer to a physical surface, the so-called geoid. The altitude values NHN (NormalHöheNull) refer to the Amsterdam level.
