Deckersches Kartenwerk 1 : 50 000

Decker's map work forms the beginning of the state recording in the Prussian General Staff. From 1816 to 1821, large areas of the then province of Brandenburg, among others, were built on a scale of 1: 25 000 are included. The resulting so-called square mile sheets have a circumference of 667 sheets. Some of these sections were reduced to scale 1: 50 000 under the direction of Carl von Decker. The area around Berlin has been published in 9 map sheets under the name "Umgebiet von Berlin". These originals from the holdings of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Prussian Cultural Heritage - have been reproduced by the LGB and are thus available to everyone as facsimile prints. The total area extends from Kremmen, Oranienburg and Biesenthal in the north to Mittenwalde and Storkow in the south and from Nauen and Ketzin in the west to Strausberg in the east. A single sheet is offered at the price of 12 euros, the set of all 9 cards at the price of 81 euros.
