Dataset description

Service consisting of the grid layers for the climatic water balance in mm, each for the whole year and the seasons. The grid layers for the climatic water balance shown here were calculated by the German Weather Service with the model AMBAV and prepared for the Climate Atlas NRW. The respective grid layers were calculated for the 30-year averages of the climate normal periods 1961-1990, 1971-2000, 1981-2010 and 1991-2020 for the observed past. In addition, the changes in the climate normal period 1991-2020 relating to 1961-1990 are presented. In addition, climate projections for the future periods 2031-2060 and 2071-2100 are available, each structured according to the climate projections RCP2.6, RCP4.5 and RCP8.5. The strength of the possible climate signal per scenario is divided according to the 15th, 50th and 85th. percentile. Both absolute mean values and so-called delta-change grids are shown, which show the change of the climate signal compared to the reference period 1971-2000. Data source: German Weather Service (DWD). Sources of climate projection data: Brienen et al. (2020), Krähenmann (2019). Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
