Digitale Topographische Karten sind Rasterdaten der vorliegenden Topographischen Landeskartenwerke. Die Rasterdaten sind nach kartographischen Inhaltselementen in verschiedene Ebenen gegliedert und können als Einzelebenen sowie als farbige Kombination abgegeben werden. Bei den DTK50 handelt es sich um Digitale Topographische Karten, die in neuer Kartengraphik und Ebenengliederung aus einem korrespondierenden ATKIS-DLM abgeleitet werden. Sie ist in 24 einzelnen Ebenen (Einzellayer) in schwarz-weißer oder in farbiger Kombination in verschiedenen Auflösungen erhältlich.Die Rasterdaten können als Einzelblätter im Blattschnitt der topographischen Karten und als blattschnittfreie Aufbereitungen (Gesamtdatei und/oder Kacheln) in verschiedenen geodätischen Bezugssystemen und Kartenprojektionen flächendeckend oder in Ausschnitten für das Bundesland Thüringen abgegeben werden.
