Digital soil overview map of Thuringia 1 : 200 000 (BÜK200)

The BÜK 200 shows the distribution of associated soil forms with their properties and thus provides a basis for supraregional thematic evaluations. The legend units contain area-weighted information on soil types and soil-forming substrates with their stratification. Surface soil forms shall be grouped at the level of identification of the soil subtypes or types and the substrate type. Parallel to the creation of the map work, a surface database is set up, which should contain all material and graphic data of the BÜK 200 at the end. The area database contains basic soil and geological data such as soil output rock and its stratification, soil type, soil type, humus content and carbonate content as well as additional location-related information on the slope of the terrain, the groundwater level and the type of use.
