List of museums in Lazio

In 2012 the Lazio Region participated in the national census of museums in Italy, based on a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Istat and participating Regions. All data collected are freely available online, upon registration, on the website of the Integrated Information System (http://imuseiitaliani.beniculturali.it/sii) and include information on the number, location and activities of museums, how they are organized and how they are managed, on the facilities they have and the services they offer, as well as on the relationship with the public and the surrounding territory. The Lazio Region also possesses the data relating to Lazio, in compatible XML or CSV format, with the further indication of which museums belong to the Regional Museum Organization (OMR) and which to thematic or territorial museum systems recognized by the regional administration.
