Dataset description

A collection of digitised cinema magazines and chronicles from the National Archives of Latvia, which was created between 1945 and 1996. Films digitised under the ERDF project ‘Digitalisation of cultural heritage content’ from 35 mm film tapes. The collection consists of the film magazines ‘Soviet Latvia’, ‘Art’, ‘Sports Review’, ‘Pioneer’, ‘Soldier’, ‘Rural Chronicles’, etc., which reflect life in Latvia in 1944-1990. The period of restoration of Latvia’s independence and its further development are opened by the 1990-1996 Latvian Chronicles, Lightmen, Pastarītis, Art, etc.
