Breakdown of the number of children with disabilities by disease form (ICD-10 classification), age and gender

Selected information on children with disabilities for whom a positive (VDEĀVK) decision of the State Medical Commission for the Assessment of Health Condition and Working Ability regarding a particular disability is in force during the reporting period. Statistical data are obtained from the Welfare Information System LabIS. The age of the child shall be determined at the end of the reference period or at the date of death of the person. Children – persons whose disability group is entitled ‘Disabled child’ and whose age does not exceed 18 years. The overview is compiled by groups of disease forms according to the Classification of Diseases and Health Problems (ICD10). A group of forms of the disease is prescribed for the basic diagnosis. During one reporting period, a person may have applied to the VDEĀVK several times, respectively, one person may have several basic diagnoses. The amounts displayed may not coincide with the number of unique persons. Year: the reference year for which the information is drawn up. Month: reference month for which the information has been compiled. Total children – children with disabilities who have a positive VDEĀVK decision in force during the reporting period. 18 years – persons for whom the disability group is determined as an adult in the reference month.
