Number of children with disabilities by functional impairment, age and gender

Selected information on children with disabilities for whom a positive decision of the State Medical Commission for the Assessment of Health Condition and Working Ability (VDEĀVK) on a specific disability is in force during the reporting period. Statistical data is obtained from the welfare information system LabIS. The age of the child shall be determined by the end of the reference period or by the date of death of the person. Total number of children with disabilities – children with disabilities for whom a positive decision of the VDEĀVK is in force during the reporting period. Visual functional disorders – children with disabilities, for whom during the reporting period a positive decision of the VDEĀVK is in force, the basic diagnosis of which is related to visual disorders. Hearing functional disorders – children with disabilities, who during the reporting period have a positive decision of the DEATH, the basic diagnosis of which is related to hearing disorders. Functional disorders of movement – children with disabilities, for whom during the reporting period a positive decision of the VDEĀVK is in force, the basic diagnosis of which is related to movement disorders. Mental and behavioural functional disorders – children with disabilities, for whom during the reporting period a positive decision of the DEATH is in force, the basic diagnosis of which is related to mental and behavioural disorders. Other functional disorders/type of disorders are not indicated – children with disabilities, for whom during the reporting period a positive decision of VDEĀVK is in force, the basic diagnosis of which is related to other disorders or their type is not indicated.
