Locations of invasive plant and animal species

Data from the Invasive Species Information System (INVA) consist of records of occurrences of invasive plant and animal species. An invasive species is a non-native plant, animal, or fungal species, subspecies, or lower taxon introduced outside its natural range, whose establishment or spread poses a threat or has a negative impact on biodiversity, ecosystems, the economy, or human health. It is strictly prohibited to keep, breed, grow, propagate, sell, use, exchange, transport, or release invasive species into the environment. The list of invasive species in Lithuania can be found and new occurrences can be reported in the INVA system at https://inva.biip.lt/. Update frequency – once per day.
