Centenary of the parish St Matthieu

Audio-visual document dedicated to the celebration of the centenary of St Matthieu parish in Pfaffenthal on July 6, 1947. Mr. Emile HAMILIUS arrives at the church, in front of which the crowd of the faithful massed. Then he welcomes the Princesses. Among the personalities who are waiting outside we can notice Messrs Emile REUTER and Pierre DUPONG. Many visitors visited the liturgical exhibition. Coming from the Siechenhof Gate, a procession, opened by scouts followed by the municipal band, is made up of tanks prepared by the associations. He goes to the cemetery where Antonius Koecher’s tomb was flowered. Then the parish priest blessed the tombs and the faithful present. In the afternoon the band gives a concert in front of the church. The subject ends with views of the valley and ramparts. The second part presents the Primizféier of a young parish priest (Emile Schaefers) appointed to St Matthew.
