Faisant suite à l’installation de premiers points de secours « Rettungspunkte » dans la forêt domaniale du Grünewald dans le cadre d’un projet pilote lancé en octobre 2016, le Corps grand-ducal d'incendie et de secours et l’Administration de la nature et des forêts y ont finalisé la mise en place de 59 points permettant d’améliorer la localisation de personnes se trouvant dans une situation d'urgence. La finalité de ce projet est d’assurer une intervention plus rapide et plus efficace des services de secours par l’intégration de ces points numérotés dans la base de données GIS du logiciel de gestion des interventions ("ELS-Einsatzleitsystem") du C.S.U. 112.
