Main employers in Luxembourg: 2003-2016

The list of the main employers in Luxembourg according to the workforce on 1 January, broken down by size, respectively, is published by STATEC. The list of the main employers in Luxembourg shall include enterprises and groups of undertakings employing at least 90 persons and classified by the workforce on 1 January. It is drawn up on the basis of an annual survey of companies located in Luxembourg. The survey covers economic activities from NACE Rev.2 Sections B to S, except for: * activities of temporary work agencies, NACE Rev.2 Group 78.2; * momentary associations; * public administration (Section O) and (inter)communal organisations and unions; * public educational establishments (Section P); * part of the activities of associative organisations (group 94.1) and part of the arts, performances and recreational activities (Section R). Given the non-compulsory nature of the survey, the list of major employers cannot be exhaustive. Indeed, its degree of completeness depends on the willingness of the registrants to participate in the survey and to authorise STATEC to disseminate the information collected.
