The main employers in Luxembourg on 1 January: 2003-2016

The list of the main employers in Luxembourg according to the number of employees as of 1 January, broken down by size, respectively, is published by STATEC. The list of the main employers in Luxembourg shall include enterprises and groups of enterprises employing at least 90 persons and classified by number on 1 January. It is drawn up on the basis of an annual survey of companies located in Luxembourg. The survey covers economic activities resulting from NACE Rev.2 Sections B to S, except: * activities of temporary work agencies, NACE Rev.2 Group 78.2; * momentary associations; * public administration (Section O) and (inter)communal organisations and trade unions; * public institutions engaged in an educational activity (Section P); * part of the activities of associations (group 94.1) as well as part of arts, entertainment and recreational activities (Section R). Given the non-mandatory nature of the survey, the list of major employers cannot be exhaustive. Its completeness depends on the willingness of the registrants to participate in the investigation and to authorise STATEC to disseminate the information collected.
